From March 13 to 14, the Expert Review Meeting for the Feasibility Study Report of the Qinghai Zhongkong Delingha 350MW CSP Demonstration (Pilot) Project, hereafter referred to as the "Zhongkong Delingha 350MW CSP Project", was successfully held. This project is funded and developed by Helius New Energy Co., Ltd.

During the review meeting, Northwest Electric Power Design Institute presented a detailed report covering the project's planning and design, construction scope, technical scheme, investment estimates, and economic benefits. The experts in attendance listened to the feasibility study report and engaged in thorough analysis and discussion regarding the project's feasibility.

Upon review, the experts unanimously recognized that the project’s investor and owner possess extensive experience in solar thermal power generation, and have undertaken thorough preliminary preparations and robust demonstration and research efforts. They concluded that the feasibility study report is complete, of high quality, and meets the necessary depth requirements, leading to its successful approval. The successful convening of this meeting provides a solid foundation and basis for the smooth commencement and construction of the project in the next phase.

The Zhongkong Delingha 350MW CSP Project is recognized as a benchmark clean energy project, boasting the highest installed capacity and energy storage capacity among the clean energy projects under construction and in planning worldwide.

This project employs cutting-edge tower-type solar thermal power generation technology and features a 14-hour energy storage system. It is expected to generate an annual power output of 985 million kWh, which can meet the electricity needs of 500,000 households. This will result in savings of around 295,000 tons of standard coal each year and a reduction of 870,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The project will leverage core technologies, including low-level tank heat storage system design and new-generation intelligent high-precision 37 m² heliostats.

The implementation of the Zhongkong Delingha 350MW CSP Project is expected to drive the development of related industrial chains, create job opportunities, and promote the sustainable development of the local economy.

Upon completion, this project will enhance local clean energy consumption, support Qinghai's goal of establishing a national clean energy industry hub, and further advance the high-quality development of the energy sector. It will improve the utilization efficiency of clean energy, ensure a stable supply of clean energy, and provide a model for the advancement of the national clean energy industry while contributing to the achievement of carbon peaking and neutrality goals through solar thermal power!
